In-Depth Review: totes Signature Clear Bubble Umbrella
We Don't Like
The totes Signature Clear Bubble Umbrella is, in my opinion, a great umbrella to use on incredibly rainy days. The clear canopy and deep dome shape keep me dry from the rain and help me to avoid awkward run-ins in crowded streets. Although I wouldn’t use this on a sunny day of course, as that just defeats the purpose of having to use an umbrella in the first place.
This is why I put this review together, to give you a more detailed look into this interesting and practical umbrella. Happy reading!
With the weather getting more and more unpredictable, I can never leave the house without an umbrella. However, whenever it’s raining and my umbrella’s up, I tend to be a little clumsy, bumping into people here and there while I walk. When I arrive where I need to be, whether at home or at work, I find either myself or my belongings a little soaked from the downpour, and it’s just not a nice feeling.
I wanted to make a change, and that meant changing the umbrella I usually bring with me, but that just brought another obstacle; the umbrella wouldn’t protect me as well as it should be. I didn’t think of using a clear umbrella, like the totes Signature Clear Bubble Umbrella on rainy days, but now I wish I had. Using a clear umbrella would help me avoid bumping into people in the rain while staying dry.
Who Is It For?
The totes Signature Clear Bubble Umbrella is perfect for people of all ages who live in areas where it tends to rain a lot. It can help keep them dry under the rain while at the same time help them avoid bumping into other people.
There are things to consider first before you think about purchasing a good umbrella. In this case, I’m talking about clear umbrellas. A lot of us prioritize a few factors more than others, so allow me to break it down.
Durable - This is one of the most important things to take note of. A good umbrella should be durable enough to withstand the wear and tear of frequent use. You can’t have an umbrella that suddenly falls apart in the middle of the storm, right?
Waterproof Material - Believe it or not, there are umbrellas that could only be useful when it is not raining, because when it rains, the water seeps right through the material and gets the person wet. A good umbrella has to keep you dry.
Size - Another important thing to consider when looking for a good umbrella is the size. It should be big enough to cover us in the rain or even when the sun is out.
Windproof - Wind and heavy rains make for a bad combination, and umbrellas can end up breaking because of the sudden gust of wind, leading them to turn inside out. A good umbrella should also be windproof, so that even if the wind turns it inside out, it can turn back to normal.
Compared to the regular stick umbrellas, the totes Signature Clear Umbrella has a much deeper dome. The handles are quite long and are of a sleek silver, matching the general color of the rest of the umbrella. I find that it makes the umbrella look sleeker instead of having the handles be of a different color.

While the Signature Clear Bubble Umbrella is a great choice, it also helps to consider other options that might be just as good or even better than this one. Here are 3 other options from the same brand.
1. totes NeverWet Umbrella
The NeverWet umbrellas from totes are another great alternative for the rainy season. It comes in both auto open and close and auto open stick versions, meaning you can pick from the foldable umbrella or the regular kind. What makes this umbrella different from the Clear Bubble Umbrella is that the material isn’t clear and is shaped like a regular umbrella would, no dome shaped canopy.
As the name implies, it has NeverWet technology, coating the umbrellas with an invisible film to keep the rainwater away, making it 4 times drier and lesser chances of leaving puddles wherever you go.
This umbrella is also ideal for people who live in places where it is constantly rainy.
2. totes Titan Umbrella
The totes Titan Umbrellas pride themselves in being strong, and we definitely mean strong and durable. It is designed to be incredibly wind-proof, being able to withstand 70 miles per hour winds due to its super strong aluminum frames.
It is also quite different from the Clear Bubble umbrellas in aesthetics alone, but it shares the same features as the NeverWet umbrellas. The Titan umbrella is perfect for people who stay in windy places and/or love to hike in high places.
3. totes SunGuard Umbrella
Just by the name alone, you will know what this umbrella’s main purpose is. The totes SunGuard umbrella also features the same technology in the Titan and NeverWet umbrellas, but is more inclined towards sunny skies.
The totes SunGuard umbrella has a UPF of 50 and blocks 98% of the sun’s harmful UV rays and has an invisible coating that can keep you cooler for up to 30 degrees. This umbrella is perfect for commuters who have to travel under the sun and for people who are often outdoors. It can give you shade while keeping you cool at the same time.

As I’ve said earlier, with the unpredictable weather, it can be incredibly sunny one moment but dark and rainy the next and half the time, it’s the latter. Heavy rains have us reaching for our umbrellas, and it becomes a challenge to make it through the rain and the crowds while staying as dry as possible.
This is why the totes Signature Clear Bubble Umbrella is a great option. It’s perfect for use in rainy weather, and clear enough to help us see where we’re going while avoiding getting other people wet in the process. The deep dome-shaped canopy can give maximum protection to our head and shoulders, keeping hair and/or makeup in place as well.
Should the rain be accompanied by strong winds, the Clear Bubble umbrella holds up well against it too, so it’s has great durability. Having a variety of designs to choose from is a bonus as well, and can be used for special occasions.
